[updated: 19052010 / 16:00] MIC Youth Section National Deputy Youth Leader V.Mugilan call DSSV to go immediately or latest by end of the year so that his deputy president could restrategise the party struggle to face the 13th GE challenges. Immediately the party discplinary board issued the show cause letter to V.Mugilan and expected the board which is under the Vel Paari influence will sack/suspend V.Mugilan's membership in party.
Finally DSSV gave some indication on his departure from MIC and Malaysian politics. He told reporters that he plan to retire from politics, 8 to 9 months earlier then his term which due in May 2012. Even though for some analyst the announcement sound a good sign but the previous political precedents does not support DSSV so-called transition plan. The logic question which cross my mind is; why before 8 to 9 months and why not this year? Generally I would say, the announcement were more political gimmick from DSSV. My justifications is;
Finally DSSV gave some indication on his departure from MIC and Malaysian politics. He told reporters that he plan to retire from politics, 8 to 9 months earlier then his term which due in May 2012. Even though for some analyst the announcement sound a good sign but the previous political precedents does not support DSSV so-called transition plan. The logic question which cross my mind is; why before 8 to 9 months and why not this year? Generally I would say, the announcement were more political gimmick from DSSV. My justifications is;
i. By announcing his departure before the Federal MIC convention, DSSV manage to reduce any protest or motion of vote of no confidence. The announcement will reduce pressure for him either internally or externally, within the party or umno/bn. In other words he has manage to put to rest the call for immediate resignation/political pressure from his political enemies.
ii. Some indication shows, PM might call for 13th general election together with Sarawak state election. The state election is due end of may 2011. If the prediction comes true then DSSV will have the full control to decide the candidate even though the Hulu Selangor by election candidate selection process shows otherway around. It’s expected, he might not fil him self as candidate but definately will make sure his son Vel Paari given a parliament seat and later cabinet position if BN form the government again.
iii. DSSV is strategizing the power transition to his son to main stream party position so that Vel Paari can take over the party top leadership in next party election which is due in May 2012. In order to survive in party election, Vel Paari need the parliament lower house seat and latter cabinet position so that his present will sound credible. If the analysis comes true then mic once more again will be in dark room. Party will be in bad shape forever and DSSV will be in power from behind.
To avoid this, DGP must increase the pressure to his party boss to go as soon as posible within this year. He must play his role more agresif, a step forward rather than press statement saying he is ready to take over. He need to restrategies the party struggle. He will not have enough time to rebrand party if DSSV left around august or september 2011 since it will be very near to 13th GE. More over DGP must be fully alert and be prepared for any circumstances since DSSV statement was a political gimmick and not the sincere intention.
yes, samy vellu must go. Fight until your last drop of blood mugilan.
